La Rambla de Canaletes

La Rambla is definitively the most important street in Barcelona since it is a 1.2 kilometer-long tree-lined pedestrian mall in the center of the old city of Barcelona that attracts numerous tourists and locals. This famous street has five names since it has five sections. The first one is La Rambla de Canaletes where you can appreciate the Font de les Canaletes fountain.

La Rambla de Canaletes that is the top part of La Rambla running into Plaza Catalunya has a new fountain since the old city walls were demolished a more modern fountain was made. There is a saying in this wonderful tourist destinations of Spain that is, if you drink water at the fountain you will forever keep coming back to Barcelona.
If you stroll around La Rambla de Canaletes you will appreciate the Carrer del Bonsuccés and you can also visit the Barcelona Contemporary Art Museum and the Barcelona Centre for Contemporary Culture since La Rambla de Canaletes leads to different tourist attractions in Barcelona.

Ciutadella Park, Barcelona

This tourist attraction in Barcelona used to be a military fortress, but at presentciutadella-park-barcelona.jpg it is one of the most important parks in Barcelona. In this park you can visit a zoo, many museums, a lake and a fountain. Ciutadella Park is in Passeig de Picasso.
Ciutadella Park houses the Catalan Parliament but probably the most visited place by tourists and locals is the Barcelona Zoo in this park since there are signs that you can follow to get to this incredible place in Barcelona that have numerous animals.
The lake that is in this park offers rowing boats that you can hire to enjoy a wonderful outdoor activity. Then you can go to the Cascada that is a beautiful fountain in the Ciutadella Park where you can take fantastic pictures.
Enjoy the different tours in Barcelona. Many of them include a visit to this park and other interesting places in this wonderful tourist destinations in Spain. You will find numerous tourists speaking different languages and you have the opportunity to take intensive Spanish certified courses.

The Anella Olímpica

Barcelona offers numerous interesting places to visit and the Anella Olímpica is definitively one of them. It is also known as Montjuïc’s “Olympic Ring”. It used to be one of the major competition sites used during the 1992 games.

The Anella Olímpica has many facilities such as the Olympic Stadium (Estadi Olímpic Lluñis Companys), the Palau Sant Jordi sports hall and the Picornell swimming pools.
There you should also visit the National Physicial Education Institure (INEFC) and the telecommunications tower, which are also facilities offered by the Anella Olímpica.
This is a tour that you shouldn’t miss in this incredible tourist destination in Spain. You will also find wonderful hotels in Barcelona and although they have multiligual staff you have the opportunity to sign up for intensive Spanish certified courses.

The Port Olímpic in Barcelona

The Port Olímpic in Barcelona is an entertainment and leisure zone that was built in 1988 for the 1992 Olympic Games. At present, it has become one of the most popular sites in Barcelona.

In the port you will find many excellent bars, restaurants and dance clubs to enjoy the wonderful nightlife of the place. From there you can admire the extraordinary twin skyscrapers, Mapfre Tower and Hotel Arts Barcelona.
In the port Olympic you can enjoy the different nautical services that include the speedboats rental and you can buy one or sell yours, too.
You should walk along the Olympic port that has great places to visit. You can enjoy a great day here. This beautiful port is near “Hospital del mar”, the “Moda shopping Port Olympic” and “ Curtis food drinks”. There are also wonderful hotels in Barcelona in the zone of the Port Olympic such as Hotel Arts Barcelona and AB Skipper.
To get to this great place you can do it by land or by sea. There are many buses that go to this place such as the lines 41, 10, 71, 36, 157 and 59. It is advisable to ask for information in the tourism offices of Barcelona. It is also a good idea to rent a car in Barcelona.

Tibidabo

Tibidabo in Barcelona is a significant attraction that appeals to numerous tourists and locals. It is a mountain that is overlooking Barcelona, one important tourist destination in Spain that has a lot to offer. Tibidabo is an impressive mountain since it is 512 meters where you can get wonderful views of the city and the coastline.

Tibidabo is well known for its amusement park that is fantastic. There are different attractions to visit in this place. You can visit a Catholic church, Saint George Church, Guell Park, the Torre Collserola and CosmoCaixa Barcelona that is a very interesting place to enjoy and go on learning.
You can reach Tibidabo by car, bus or car and also you can take the blue tram. It is a great place to enjoy. La Taula Restaurant is relatively close to this attraction. You should go to one of the best restaurants in Barcelona to taste the gastronomy of Spain.
There are a few hotels near this attraction such as the Bertran Suite Hotel but you can find many hotels in Barcelona that are excellent.

Montjuïc in Barcelona is worth a visit

Montjuïc is a well known hill located in Barcelona reside the harbour. From there you can have a wonderful view of the city. There are great art galleries in the Montjuïc.
The top of Montjuïc was the site of numerous fortifications. The people of the neighbouring Ciutat Vella used the slopes of the Montjuïc to grow food and graze animals.

In Montjuïc you can visit Palau Nacional, the Olympic stadium, the ornate Font Màgica fountains, among many other interesting sites. The Palau Nacional houses the Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya, which is an fascinating place to visit.
In the northwest of Montjuic you can get in touch with Poble Espanyol, which is a village. And you can also visit the sport facilities that were used during the Olympic Games in 1992. You should visit the Palau Sant Jordi. It is great.
Remember that there are outstanding hotels in Barcelona that will suit your taste and budget. You can also enjoy Spanish programs for foreigners.

Parks in Barcelona

There are numerous parks in Barcelona. There are 68 municipal parks; among them we can find 12 historic parks, 45 urban parks, 5 botanical parks and 6 forest parks. Some of them are: Park Güell, Labyrinth Park and Orenetra Castle Park.

The Parks in Barcelona occupy 10% of the land. Montjuïc, the Guinardó Park and Diagonal Mar Park are wonderful parks in Barcelona that are visited by locals and tourists.
Although there are a lot of parks to visit and enjoy we recommend to visit Ciutadella Park because there you can appreciate the Parliament, many museums, among other attractions.
In Barcelona you don’t have worry about anything because there excellent hotels in Barcelona where you can also taste the gastronomy of Spain.

La Rambla is the most famous street in Barcelona that attracts tourists and locals. It is a 1.2 kilometer-long tree-lined pedestrian mall in the center of the old city of Barcelona.

If you walk down La Rambla, which is in the Catalonia region, you can find different shops, cafes, restaurants and you can even find various performances on the street. La Rambla, which is can be considered as a series of short streets, is crowded mainly during tourist season.
